SENIOR APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER
The successful candidate will design and develop GUI, applications and systems software on a variety of enterprise, desktop and embedded platforms for
medical/healthcare, industrial, automotive and defence sectors.
This position offers challenging projects within advanced engineering domains, as well as excellent opportunity to grow your technical, leadership and

Roles and Responsibilities
You will design, implement and test GUI driven software and applications for medical, industrial, automotive and defence sectors using the latest technologies.
You will work alongside highly skilled subject matter experts and program managers, all with proven track records of executing demanding projects to
highest standards of quality, on time and within budget.

The role will include:
• Develop applications and systems software architecture.
• Develop estimates and project plans.
• Design, implement and test high quality applications and systems software including mission critical control software, on time and within budget.
• Design, implement and test GUIs.
• Ensure products comply with applicable regulatory standards and the company?s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Maintain, support and enhance software and application products.
• Deliver technical consultancy to clients and partners.
• Work closely with client product development teams, in the UK and worldwide to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Mentor peers and team members.
• Travel to client?s premises for requirements gathering, integration testing and support.
Education and Experience
Pre-Requisites:
• BSc degree in Computer Science or BSc degree in Mathematics/Physics plus additional qualifications in Computer Science.
• Extensive experience of designing and developing Graphics User Interface (GUI) for enterprise, desktop, embedded and/or web applications.
• Experience of using GUI frameworks and toolkits.
• Experience of designing and developing applications and systems software and applications for variety of platforms.
• Experience of full software product development life-cycle.
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of structured and Object Oriented Analysis, Design and development.
• Extensive hands on experience of .NET framework and C#.
• Demonstrable knowledge and working experience of Database design and development experience including SQL.
• Experience of client facing consultancy and product development.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (technical and non-technical).
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Project management and/or technical leadership experience.
• Experience of configuration management and version control systems including Subversion.
Advantageous but not essential:
• MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics.
• Experience of developing on embedded systems.
• Experience of Windows, Linux and embedded RTOS.
• MCPD certified
• Development of software for medical applications.
• DICOM, HL7, ERP or EPOS development experience.
• Application of UML and use of object oriented design CASE tools.
• Experience developing using Microsoft Dynamics.
